DR. SHAHRIAR HADAVI OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Shahriar Hadavi is an optometrist. He completed two years of clinical fellowship in low vision and rehabilitation at the Department of Ophthalmology at the university of Toronto. He has extensive experience in routine eye exam and eye disease management; pre-operative and post-operative eye surgery care as well as co-management of laser and surgery patients. He also has vast experience with low vision dispensing.
EXTENSIVE EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Dr. Hadavi has both a Canadian and international education. Dr. Hadavi graduated from Medical School in Iran in 1999, where he practiced in Family Medicine for more than 5 years. Then, he completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Jordan University of Science and Technology and received his Ophthalmology degree in 2009.
Dr. Hadavi completed 2 years of clinical fellowship in Low Vision and Rehabilitation at the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto and received his certificate in 2013. Then, he joined the IOBP program at the College of Optometry at the University of Waterloo and passed the Canadian Optometry Board exam in 2015. Dr. Hadavi is a Canadian Board Certified Optometrist and holds an Ontario License of Optometry.
He recently joined West Toronto Eye Care with the goal of providing comprehensive routine eye exams that focus on patient education and disease prevention. He has solid experience in assessment and management of eye diseases. He has a special interest in assisting patients with low vision rehabilitation.
